Receta 1. Chorizo beans (recipe)

White beans with chorizo (5 serves)

a) Ingredients:

  • 600 g of white beans already cooked (medium size)
  • Chorizo sausage (the soft one, the amount depends on your taste)
  • 1 big onion
  • Natural ground tomato (not fried) or tomato sauce (for example the same for spaghetti)

b) Steps:

  1. Chop the chorizo into small dices and fry them on a pan or big frying pan.
  2. Once the chorizo is half cooked, add the chopped onion and keep everything cooking until the onion turns colour gold. Keep a gentle heat to not burn the chorizo.
  3. After cooking the onion and chorizo, and only if you use natural ground tomato, pour the tomato onto the same container, turning down the heat level. Keep cooking for 10 minutes. The amount of tomato should be the necessary to have enough sauce or liquid to dip bread into.
  4. Finally, add the beans onto the same contanier and stir the ingredients so that they mixed up and the beans get the flavour. There's no need to have the heat on this time.

In the case you were using tomato sauce add it with the beans to not burn the tomato.

I strongly recommend eating the meal with bread!
